Lesbian Workout | Club 59/Elegant Angel
What’s the only thing that could make Mason’s
stupefyingly infectious exercise-themed mini-oeuvre
(2009’s Pornstar Workout 1 & 2 and last year’s Hard
Bodies) even hotter? That’s right: removing the penises.
Meet Lesbian Workout, whose debut installment offers
four girl/girl pairings so tantalizing, it’s almost too much
to even think about. Those would be Lily Carter and
Lizz Tayler, Brett Rossi and Dani Daniels, Gracie Glam
and Lily LaBeau, and perhaps most earth-rattling of all,
cover girl Sunny Leone and Daisy Marie.
“It was such an honor to be able to finally work with
Sunny Leone,” Mason told us. “She is extraordinarily
beautiful, but it was wonderful really getting to know her
on an authentic sexual level. Her exchange with Daisy
Marie was an amazing experience for me to witness, let alone capture.”
Mason had nearly as much praise to heap on Daniels, revealing that her perform-
ance here inspired the creation of an entire movie around her, Dani, on the way soon
under Elegant’s Club 59 label.
Back to Lesbian Workout, however, Mason said, “The response has been so over-
whelming that we have to do a second one.”
New Girl in Town | Immoral/Pure Play
Performer/director/producer Porno Dan Leal has put out
four volumes of his New Girl in Town line since
December 2011, featuring new and up-and-coming
talent such as Riley Reid, Haley Sweet, Emily Eve,
Izy-Bella Blue, Ashley Shannon and Pressley Carter.
Speaking of Volume 2, which was released in January
with Ash Hollywood, Zoe Voss, Nicole Aniston, Lily
Carter and Victoria Rae Black, Leal said, “I shot pretty
much new models that entered the adult industry in
2011, and I felt that these five beautiful young ladies
were the top ones truly poised to make 2012 their year. I
selected each of them for different reason, but there is
no denying that all five have what it takes to become
superstars in the adult film industry.”
The scenes for the series are shot during Leal’s popular
streaming shows, adding the immediacy of live performance to the sexuality on display.
The New Girl in Town line is produced by Porno Dan Presents and distributed by
Pure Play Media.
Party of Three | Bang Productions
“Three is better than two.”
That’s the primary draw factor offered by Bang
Productions DVD sales manager Jeff to the studio’s new
series Party of Three, dedicated expressly to girl-on-girl-
on-girl (at the minimum) sex making. Jeff, we couldn’t
agree more, buddy.
The first volume, released in March, features such suc-
culent slurp queens as Samantha Saint, Franziska Facella
and Ella Milano. According to Jeff, it’s been an unex-
pectedly resounding hit.
“New titles people usually go into a little bit slowly,
but they kind of jumped on this one,” Jeff told AVN.
“People like girl-on-girl stuff, and we haven’t had a lot of
it, but this apparently hit some of the right chords,
because we sold a lot of the first one, and we’re anticipating that to continue.”
Party of Three 2 is scheduled to be available as of June 5, and Jeff said Bang expects
to release a new volume about every other month.

Romantic Encounters | Adam & Eve Pictures
Considering Adam & Eve Pictures’ couples-friendly
beginnings, it’s surprising that it’s only this year the
company has decided to inaugurate a romance line into
its video production schedule.
“The Romantic Encounters line is basically us getting
back to what we were known for to begin with, which is
couples erotica,” observed Adam & Eve VP Katy
Zvolerin. “ We saw a need, and we saw a number of
other production companies going in that direction. I
believe we have two out so far, and we have plans to do
more. It’s been hugely successful.”
So far, the company has released two Romantic
Encounters titles—Skye Blue’s Venus In Furs and Lee
Roy Myers’ Café Amore, each available in both a hard
and soft version in one package—and more can be expected quarterly, including at
least one soon-to-be-released interracial entry.
“With Romantic Encounters, the focus is on couples,” Zvolerin described. “There’s
a lot of play, a lot of attention paid to the woman and her pleasure, so I think it’s a
great introductory type of movie for couples to watch together.”
Smash Pictures Romance
Smash Pictures joined the couples-movie bandwagon in
response to viewer requests.
“To stay alive in the market, we’re always listening to
our hotel systems and our broadcast-to-lodging opera-
tors telling us what they want us to shoot,” Smash
Pictures Vice President Stuart Wall told AVN. “Right
now, romance is the big thing. Our fans on Twitter who
are asking me questions about porn aren’t men any-
more—it’s women.
“It’s a 360-degree change. The days of the boy-girl
fuck movie are over. It’s all about the kissing, the
build-up, the tease, the romance. And that’s what’s
strong for us.”
The first title in the new wave is Forever Love—Trust,
to be followed by Diary of Love, an adaptation of The Notebook: The original used
Alzheimer’s as a plot point, and in Smash’s version “a guy in his 20s to 30s falls into a
coma and the woman reads her diary, remembering the good times they had.”
The productions are directed by Jim Powers. “We always shoot a hard and soft ver-
sion,” Wall said. “He’s been typecast as a rough-sex kind of director, but he prefers
scripts and stories.”
“Once everybody saw that I could shoot romance, they said I should keep doing
that,” Powers said. “I thought I was always shooting romance. I did Bridesmaids for
[Smash]; it’s very much a women’s porno. These are people who make love for a living.
You hire your screaming psychopath to make your anal-pounding movie, and you get
the right people, let them act more naturally, and voilà, you have a love story.
“They do like making stories.”
Plans call for one new couples title a month.
