DreamZone Romance | DreamZone Entertainment
When DreamZone Entertainment first showed up on
the adult scene, it looked like the company was well
positioned as a parody house, having successfully dis-
tributed such laugh-makers as The Honeymoaners and
Mork & Mindy, plus a short series featuring Amy
Fisher.
But then something interesting happened: The
DreamZone Romance line was born earlier this year
with an auspicious debut, Romeo & Juliet—a title as
true to its Shakespearean origins as any porn movie is
likely to be. Starring Chanel Preston and Rocco
Reed, who became real-life lovers on the set, it was
Editor’s Choice material for AVN—and the pair col-
laborated on the line’s second release, Love or Lust.
Simply put, DreamZone seems willing to take the
time to find performers with high compatibility and then pair them with top-notch
scripts and excellent camerawork and art direction. In the adult entertainment industry,
that’s a combination to be reckoned with!
“DreamZone Entertainment is busy planning the third installment in its romance-
themed series,” brand manager Ken Herskovitz told AVN. “Still untitled, and mostly
under wraps, the upcoming feature is said to be based on a tabloid-style scandal and
fallout. DreamZone is shooting for a late fall release.”
Home Wrecker | Digital Playground
Home Wrecker is a hilarious comedy series about how
difficult it is to find roommates these days, when your
dick keeps getting in the way. Two buddies have a
hard time paying the bills on their new place and
encounter crazy characters in their search to find the
perfect roommate. Problems arise when gorgeous girls
move in and girlfriends get jealous. This new series
features Digital Playground contract stars Jesse Jane,
Riley Steele, Kayden Kross, Selena Rose and BiBi
Jones.
The third volume, showcasing Jane, streets this
month. Home Wrecker 4, releasing later this year, fea-
tures BiBi Jones’ first ever boy/boy/girl scene, some-
thing fans will no doubt want to check out.
Not to be left out, the series also feature a top-
notch male cast. “This was Nacho Vidal’s first trip back to U.S. in over a decade. We
knew he would be shooting a lot of ‘gonzo style’ projects but we wanted to showcase his
acting; in particular his comedic talents,” director Robby D. said.
The Innocence of Youth | Digital Sin
New Sensations/Digital Sin was the pioneer of
Romance lines, but one of its latest efforts skews in a
new, perhaps sexier direction.
“Innocence of Youth is more arthouse theater in
terms of how it looks and how it’s shot,” said scripter
Jacky St. James. “It’s lit more like an indie film than
typical porn, and where most of the stuff we’ve done
in the past has had brief dialogue or maybe a
striptease as its opener, this is more a story told with-
out any dialogue, sort of like the Oscar-winning
mainstream movie The Artist. It’s done through the
lighting, the camera angles and the tension that’s built
between the two performers.”
St. James is quick to point out that the Eddie
Powell-directed Innocence isn’t an Asian-themed line, but nonetheless, the costumes
worn by Vol. 1’s stars Riley Reid, Chastity Lynn, Gia Steel and Kendall Karson are
“genuine Japanese Lolita outfits”—and while the series isn’t aimed at the fetish market,
it’s nonetheless focused on dominance/submission—though who’ll dominate and who’ll
submit will always be a surprise.
So are adult consumers ready for a story told in images rather than words, and which
breaks the mold on older/younger couplings and spices things up with D/S? Survey
says: YES!
Lesbian Guidance Counselor | Girl Candy Films/AEBN
Just take one look at Sovereign Syre and you’ll see the
intensity that undoubtedly attracted filmmaker Nica
Noelle to star her in the new Girl Candy series Lesbian
Guidance Counselor.
“Sovereign’s character appears in every volume and
kind of holds all of the narratives together,” Noelle said.
“Because of her love of academia, I cast her as the guid-
ance counselor at an all-girls college. The overall theme is
illicit and often unethical sexual encounters as you’d
expect with a student-teacher theme, but we also show
older women together, as well as younger women paired
with each other, and we have a variety of characters who
come and go with every episode, consistent with a soap
opera-type format.”
Released earlier this year on AEBN.com and last month on DVD, the first volume
was an instant hit with all ages, and Noelle assures there’ll be several more, especially
since her star seems to have a voracious sexual appetite.
“This is Sovereign’s first year working in adult films and she’s still in the magical
phase where it’s like being a kid in a candy store: She wants to have sex with every
woman she sees,” Noelle states. “And Girl Candy Films is only too happy to oblige her!”
Lesbian Storytime Theater | Girlfriends Films
Lesbian Storytime Theater, the new series from co-
creators Elexis Monroe and Girlfriends Films top videog-
rapher Candi-Girl, is meant to be “a cross between Tales
from the Crypt and Red Shoe Diaries.”
Monroe explained, “I am writing and directing and
casting it, but the concept actually was something I
created with Candi-Girl. We came up with the concept
three or four years ago, and now we’re doing it. I’m
hearing that people are liking it, so that’s good.”
The concept has legendary porn star Veronica Hart
finding an old journal which turns out to be a sort of
“lesbian diary,” where gay ladies from the past have
recorded their sexual experiences—which makes the
possible stories this series can tell just about as open-
ended as you can get.
“There’s no time constraint,” Monroe said. “It could be older, younger, interracial,
costume, fetish, bondage—there’s no boundaries on it.”
Volume 1’s stories run the gamut from adultery to bellydancer training, to a nympho
masseuse, to getting ready for a Halloween costume party, though Monroe assures that
the second one will be “a more fetish-y, bondage, kinky movie—but Girlfriends style;
nothing too far out.”
