Rabbit’s Run Among the most recent rabbit-style vibrators to come from CalExotics are three new models in the California Dreaming collection—one of which, the Malibu Minx, offers suction action in the clitoral stimulator.
Pump It Up!
In recent years, however, the clitoris has boomed
in popularity, and pleasure products manufacturers
have led the charge on finding new and unique
ways to stimulate it.
Among the first products to stimulate the clitoris
was the “pussy pump.” The devices rely on suction
to draw blood to the labia and clitoris, thereby
making the area more sensitive.
CalExotics was among the first company to
manufacture pumps for women, and the products
are still staples in the company’s product lineup.
“Pumps provide intense, thrilling stimulation
that people really love,” explained Nichole
Grossman, director of marketing for CalExotics.
“These items are extremely popular because
women have so many different sexual preferences.
Plus, many women don’t orgasm from vaginal
penetration alone, so the intense stimulation pumps
provide is really exciting for many users. Toys like
these are versatile, and great for all experience
levels.”
Grossman noted that because there is no “one
way” to find pleasure, items such as the pumps will
continue in popularity for years to come.
“Everyone has their own unique desires,” she
said. “The popularity of toys like this comes from
women learning and exploring their sexuality. As
long as women continue to do that, toys like these
will continue to be best sellers.”

Hop to It
It was just 20 years ago when HBO’s hit series Sex and the City aired its “The Turtle and the
Hare” episode, which introduced millions of women to the rabbit-style vibrator. The dual
stimulator was a staple for years in the pleasure product industry, with practically every
company producing some version of the iconic vibrator.
CalExotics consistently does well with its line of Jack Rabbit vibrators, which have seen
everything from more intense motors to rows of rotating beads to new packaging added in
recent years.
“The Jack Rabbit and other dual stims do it all. There are so many on the market now, it’s
easy to find the one that matches your sexual preference. Our Jack Rabbit Signature Silicone
Thrusting Rabbit thrusts, the California Dreaming Beverly Hills bunny offers beaded rotation
in the shaft, and the Advanced G Jack Rabbit has a curve for G-spot stimulation,” Grossman
said. “What’s great about dual stimulators is the customization. Most of our dual stimulators
feature a shaft and clitoral stimulator that run independently of each other. So even if your
preferences change from one day to the next, the dual stim has you covered! I don’t see the
demand for these products going away anytime soon.”
Doc Johnson, another major manufacturer, has come out with dual stimulators in recent
years that offer a different take on clitoral stimulation.
“Doc Johnson has always been an innovator, in dual stimulators and in a wide range of
other pleasure products categories, so it’s only natural that we wouldn’t want to introduce
more of the same into the market,” said Cheryl Hanslip, Doc Johnson’s director of product
development. “However, we know that dual stimulators are popular for a reason—so with
the introduction of our new iVibe Select vibrators, for example, we wanted to create products
that would offer the blended stimulation our customers desire, but with a different twist, to
improve their functionalities.
“That’s what led to our newest iVibe Select vibrators—we released five in 2017 (the
iCome, iWand, iRipple, iRock, and iBend), and we’ve added two more to be released this
year in 2018—the iPlease and iRoll,” Hanslip added. “In addition to their premium silicone
constructions and deep, rumbly vibrations, each of the seven vibes offers its own unique,
powerful and innovative form of stimulation, to provide next-level pleasure. To highlight just a
