Rob Reimer, chief marketing officer for Rascal Toys and Boneyard Toys from Channel 1 Releasing said
a shift in society is making it easier for men to address their sexual wants and needs, as well as their
sexual health.
“I think there is less stigmatized awareness in the media for men’s sex toys in general,” Reimer said.
“So when that is being portrayed as something that is not just for gay men, it makes it easier for all guys
to want to experiment and see that men’s sex toys actually have a purpose and can improve their sex
lives. Why do women get to have all the fun?
“That is the whole reason why we launched Boneyard,” he continued. “We wanted a brand that was
inclusive and attractive to all men, and that is always something we are always thinking about with our
packaging and branding.”
Reimer said if a man doesn’t have a willing partner to help find and stimulate his prostate, Rascal
and Boneyard have several toys to help, including the Silicone Player and the wide selection of V2 butt
plugs.

“Of course before experimenting in that area you need to clean, and we have several cleaning
products such as the Expeller and the ‘O’ Award-winning Skwert,” he said. “Also if you’re going to
be using anal toys, you must lube, lube, lube and why not try our ‘O’ Award winner for Outstanding
Lubricant, Snake Oil, with the Skwert Lube Injector? Stimulating your prostate makes your orgasm
more intense and pleasurable, so why wait to get the party started?”
Doc Johnson was among the first manufacturers to create more than just “novelty” toys for men and
work on making pleasure products that addressed men’s sexual health.
“As recently as five or six years ago, we noticed that there was a major gap in the market for that
category, which is what led us to develop the first ever comprehensive Men’s Sexual Health + Wellness
Collection: OptiMALE,” said Chad Braverman, COO/CCO for Doc Johnson. “Because really, up until
OptiMALE, there were masturbators and strokers specifically targeted to gay men, but there was never
a line that was curated and developed specifically to address the sexual health and wellness needs of all
men, regardless of their age, sexuality or sexual preferences.”
The OptiMALE line, he noted, is a complete line to help men before, during and after sex.
“That was the concept: that every aspect of the collection, from the sleek packaging, to the high-
quality constructions and smart designs, would come together to make OptiMALE the perfect essential,
‘go-to brand’ for men,” he said. “Customers love the entire line—and the success of OptiMALE is a big
reason why you’ve started to see so many other companies move into this space.
Toys for Boys Brands such as Aneros (above) and Channel 1’s Boneyard line aim their marketing at the male consumer.
