movies passed off as romance movies or passion movies
and to me there is nothing less passionate or romantic
about a movie about a divorced couple. Ultimately that’s
a depressing thing.”
For The Lustful Wife, Brandt focuses on two couples. Tara
(Penny Pax) feels something is missing in her marriage
with John (Ryan Driller, pictured on opposite page with
Pax). So she begins confiding in her best friend, Kelly
(Bridgette B.), who enjoys an open, sexually adventurous
relationship with her husband (Derrick Pierce). But they’re
not the only actors on set. This is a big cast, with multiple
scenes planned for what will be a very long day.
“There’s a tremendous amount of prep that goes into
making these. My scripts are huge. If it wasn’t for the
dedication of my crew, none of this shit would happen.”
Among those making shit happen are lighting tech Shaun
Rivera, sound man Ric Rodney, cameramen Sal Genoa
and Steve Matts, still photographers Andre Madness
and Nigel Dictator, production assistant Rob Banks and
makeup artist Azzie. “It’s a tremendous amount of work.
And a lot of creative vision that all has to be focused and
funneled. So I need to get the sex scene rolling,” Brandt
says before rushing off to check the set upstairs.
In the kitchen are some of the cast and crew, surrounded
by a bounteous supply of food: pizza, pastries, bags of
chips, apples, mac and cheese, and other prepared foods
and beverages. Ryan Driller talks about the characters and
their emotions. “Tara’s been confiding in Kelly—‘yeah, my
husband doesn’t jerk off; I don’t know what his fantasies
are.’ And she finally finds out. ... But she discovers he’s
been talking to girls on sex lines—and he has a fantasy of
her with another girl.”
Bridgette B. describes her character—the adventuresome
Kelly, who throws lingerie and sex toy parties—
as “the devil on her shoulder” who encourages Tara to
explore her sexuality. “My husband is Derrick Pierce,”
Bridgette B. says. “And at the end we will swap as part of
[Tara’s] growth in her relationship.”
But before that happens, Pierce gets a juicy treat in the
form of a threesome with Victoria Voxxx (above) and Cindy
Starfall, who play guests at a bachelorette party thrown by
Kelly. And Pierce is sort of a party favor for Voxxx, who is
the tiara-wearing bride to be. Starfall is thrilled about the
scene, noting that Pierce is one of her favorite co-stars
and she appreciates her first time with Voxxx. “I was in
my zone—it was awesome. And I always wanted to fuck a
