days,” said Elsa Viegas, designer and
co-founder of Bijoux Indiscrets. “Not
only it looks good on bare skin but it
is also a great fashion accessory. Body
jewelry also increases self confidence
making naked feel less ‘naked’ by
highlighting favorite body areas. It
shows without revealing too much
and became celebrities’ favorite when
they use sheer dresses and endless
cleavages, being the perfect ally for
party and festival outfits.”
While Bijoux Indiscrets’ products
are mostly designed for women—“We
are a female-oriented brand so our
designs are creating having women in
mind,” Viegas said—there’s no limit to
who can enjoy the products.
“It is not up to us to decide who
wears it and who doesn’t,” Viegas
said. “If you feel like it, go for it!”
The company’s bestsellers include
the Mimi, which Viegas said are small
gems attached to an invisible silicone
mesh that allows you to apply it easily
on your skin without any mess. The
piece also has a shape that adapts to
any body area. (“Mimis are designed
for nipples but they look gorgeous on
other body areas,” Viegas said.)
Viegas said Bijoux Indiscrets pieces
stay in place during sex, but it is
important to apply it correctly. The
skin should be clean and dry, with no
moisturizers or oils applied, and after
that the body jewelry will stay in place
for a long time, she said.

Though summer is a best-selling season for Bijoux
Indiscrets pieces, Viegas said, the winter holidays are
a good time to stock their items as gifts.
“Buy it for yourself!” she said. “It is like lingerie;
you must feel comfortable in it. Depending on the
use (party, resort, festival, flirt night …), I would
recommend our Mimi, that adorns the nipples
without covering them, for a night of passion along
with you favorite lingerie or for a beach resort where
clothes are optional.”
If customers are going to a festival or a party and
they have a sheer dress or a big cleavage or simply
want to leave the bra at home, go for the company’s
Flash pasties, Viegas said. They cover the nipple, are

Viegas said there are a number of reasons to
suggest customers consider buying body jewelry
during the holiday season.
“Highlight a favorite body area would be my first
answer but I believe that body jewelry also gives a
certain kind of power when you use it,” she said.
“Maybe you are going to a resort where clothes are
optional, maybe you have a new lingerie set that you
want to share with someone special or you have a
night out with friends and want to make sure all the
details are perfect … but the first reason should be
because it feels good on you!”
