P. 10

When are you starting grad school?
I’m applying right now! If all goes well, I’ll
begin Fall 2020.
What drew you to study Fine Art as an
undergrad?
I was actually studying film first, but two
years into my degree I realized it’s not what I
wanted to do. Film is very collaborative and I
learned the hard way that I’m a lone worker.
I knew I wanted to be in an artistic field,
having dabbled with painting, illustration,
photography, and videography. So I chose
fine art—it’s the kind of field where you can
lock yourself in a room and come out with
a finished product. It’s the same reason why
camming is so perfect for me. I work by myself
and I make the rules.
What is it about Art Therapy that interests
you for graduate studies?
Art is my passion, but I don’t want to use
it to make products to sell. I want to use it to
help others.
What are your hobbies or interests outside
of camming?
I’m all about nature, art, and simple things
in life. My plants, my cats, playing piano, and
doing ceramics takes up most of my leisure
time. I occasionally go hiking, and of course
exploring the endless city that is NYC with
friends... but I’m mostly a homebody.
What do you like most about plants?
What I like most about plants is that they
remind me of nature, of home, and of my
mom.
