“I feel like I’m just in the right place.”
One thing about Leana Lovings: She really, really wants to spread the ... loving(s).
After a truly skyrocketing first year in pro porn that saw her reap an AVN Best New Starlet nomination and her very first AVN trophy (for Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene ... more on that later), Leana just keeps ascending higher and higher into the rarefied triple-X-phenom stratosphere—at the time of this writing, she was sitting pretty at number 20 on Pornhub’s list of the Most Popular Porn Stars—and to hear her tell it, nothing brings her greater joy than sharing her most intimate pleasures with the (literal) world.
“I started in this industry so awkward and not knowing how to experience that kind of intimacy with men,” she reflects over a peach old fashioned at a popular Porn Valley gastropub. “I started in this industry having only had sex with a guy twice. And now I’ve done over 300 scenes, and it’s so wonderful and enlightening to know that yeah, I can have sex with all of these people, and yes, I feel so happy doing it, and I feel like I’m just in the right place. I feel like I’m where I need to be, and I know that I can trust that decision to continue forward into doing what I love.”
Part of that journey, as of late, has found her contributing her talents to a number of projects for Adult Time, including two episodes of brand ambassador Lauren Phillips’ limited series Switch, two entries in the always creep-tastic Pure Taboo line (one with Tommy Pistol and one with up-and-comer Max Fills), an episode of chief creative officer Bree Mills’ based-on-real-life-experiences True Lesbian (opposite Gizelle Blanco), a scene with Robby Apples for new gonzo-style line Up Close, and her own installment of How Women Orgasm.
Most significantly of all though, she will soon be stepping behind the camera to co- direct a to-be-announced narrative piece with Mills.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity,” Lovings gushes. “We’ve been collaborating on the creation of different scripts to figure out which one that we are going to be going with, but I’m so excited, and the primary focus is going to be something that’s very sensation-based, something very nurture-based, in the essence of sensuality and romance.”
