Forget everything you may already know about releases with similar Love, Sex &... titles. This is NOT a lighthearted comedy; rather, it is a drama about aspiring song writer/singer September Reign hitting Nashville and trying to break into country music.
Director Will Ryder, who had a history in mainstream music in Nashville during this time period (the late 1990s), commissioned upcoming country band Honest Family Outlaws to record a few songs for the release including multiple versions of one song so that Reign could perform them in various stages of development.
A huge cast shows off stellar acting ability across the board, intermixed with plenty of sex, resulting in an entertaining journey into treachery, deceit and hope. Big-name singer Vanna Bardot gets introduced to Reign and becomes determined to record her catchy song in order to revive her career. She tricks Reign into giving her permission to use the song, which is an immediate hit. It takes a courtroom showdown to resolve the issue.
