Like its predecessor—2017’s
Sacrosanct (Trenchcoatx), which
brought Kayden Kross her first Best
Director win—this anthology offers
four meditations on sex as ritual,
each without a hint of porno clichés.
Female desire is the engine that
drives each scene, and Kross casts
two male performers who skillfully
follow along with the fantasies she
has envisioned. Naturally dominant
Markus Dupree tells Adria Rae, “You
want to be filled,” and then brings
in Mick Blue for the only threesome
here, then dominates Vicki Chase.
Mickey Mod gets tied up by Alina
Lopez, then shows off his prowess
as a Dom with Ashley Lane in the
final (and arguably best) scene.
In addition to the richness of the
language in dialogue and voiceover,
Kross also doesn’t stint on the
soundtrack and the art direction.
Each scene has distinctive music
that matches the visuals, which
range from the cool white marble
piano room where Chase and
Dupree play to the warm wooden
floors and Craftsman-style windows
surrounding Lopez and Mod.
