“I was working at a strip club in Cleveland and Joanna was feature dancing there
and I didn’t know anything about Burning Angel,” Ivy recalled of November 2014. “I
was just kind of like, ‘I’m interested in porn, you have a lot of tattoos.’ I really didn’t
know anything about Burning Angel. And she was like, ‘I’ll shoot you.’
“And I was like, ‘what, really? I’m not hot enough. I’m not hot enough to be a
porn star, like really?’ And she was like ‘I’ll shoot you’ and she had me on a plane
the next month.”
What she saw on Angel’s set was anything but vanilla.
“Her entire body was painted green head to toe. And it took like six hours for
them to do all the makeup on her. And I’m like, ‘Is this what porn is?’”
A biology major at the time, she had to decide whether she wanted to continue
her course work or go for it in porn.
“It was really a thing I had to wrestle with. Do I want to pursue science or do I
want to have fun and be young and that whole thing. So here I am,” Ivy said.
The performer, who moved to L.A. on Valentine’s Day after commuting back and
forth for occasional scenes, at first shot most of her scenes for Burning Angel but
has expanded her repertoire. She’s now gotten nasty for FemDom Empire, Diabolic
(No Swallowing Allowed 20), LeWood (Little Anal Vixxxens 2), Third Degree (Body to
Body 4, My Anal Intern), Elegant Angel and Devil’s Film.

“We were flirting with each other all
day and he shot me the next week for

like, mmm. He’s not like your typical
male performer. Just the way he talks
to you. He just makes you feel like
you’re the only girl in the world.”
With her still budding porn career,
she wants to see how far she can take
it.
“I’d love to pursue this. And I
know it takes a while. I know it’s not
immediate even though sometimes I’d
love for it to be,” Ivy said. “But yeah
I’ve been doing clips and trying to do
the whole spectrum of things that
girls do to make money. Doing all the
things to keep putting your face and
your brand out there. Once you go
away, once your face is gone, it’s onto
the next person. I realize that and I
like that business part of it.”
