RETURNS & DEBUTS
Writer/Director Kay Brandt Returns for ‘Safe Landings’
between two survivors of a tragedy, a married flight attendant and the young, engaged woman she
saved from an airplane crash. Their mutual emotional support for each other leads to psychological
dependency — which spirals into an inescapable romantic and sexual relationship. Their affair
Veteran writer/director Kay Brandt is back after a writing hiatus,
and her first step was to hold an open casting call for her new
production Safe Landings at the Free Speech Coalition offices in
June. Production got under way a month later.
Safe Landings is the first of a new erotic-books-to-film line
from Adam & Eve; it’s based on Brandt’s erotic romance novel
that explores the psychological and deep sexual connection
escalates, putting them both in a dangerous situation that could change their lives, leading them to
decide whether to be together or part company, never to meet again.
Brandt originally wrote the Safe Landings script for mainstream television, “and there was so much
more story that I veered off into writing a manuscript, and I turned it into a book,” Brandt told AVN.
“I started writing it a year ago and put it aside because I wanted to turn my Cherry movies into books.
The creative voice was saying, ‘Write the Cherry books.’ I wrote and released Cherry 1, then Cherry 2
and Cherry 3, which came out in April of this year. Cherry 4 will come out in December. There will be
six all together in the series. In the literary world, if you’re going to bundle a series of novellas, it’s
usually six books.”
Brandt has cast the following performers in the title: Xander Corvis, Brenda James, Ryan McLane
(pictured), Marcus London, Alison Rey and August Ames (pictured)—who will be doing her first
B/B/G for the project.
The production of Safe Landings marks Brandt’s return to the adult industry. “I’m back, and it’s
very exciting,” Brandt told AVN. She had been on staff for two years as a writer and director at Digital
Playground, making the Cherry series and the Jewel Box line, “and I wrote a ton of movies for
Robby D” as well as doing PR, writing box cover copy, and rewriting synopses of library titles. “I was
pretty busy while I was there.”
After leaving Digital Playground, she stayed in adult for 18 months, making movies for Filly Films
and New Sensations before leaving adult because her job offers were “for being a sex director as
opposed to a story director.” She moved on to writing e-books, building on the Cherry films. “It was
the only way for me to transition and get back to doing that. I had a lot of fans who wanted to know
more about the story behind the Cherry movies, because there was so much more there, and that’s
what I did, gave the whole story. It was very healing for me to be able to do that. I could take back
my power and bring it all back with the magic of storytelling. Many fans were very loyal and many
of them followed me from movies to books. They supported me on social media, which was very
touching. I couldn’t have done it without their support. A couple of my books became bestsellers.”
The novel version of Safe Landings will be published in December, first as an e-book and later in
paperback and audiobook. The movie is scheduled for a late September release.
Tushy.com Focuses on Artful Anal Action
The adult entertainment industry began buzzing about Tushy.com in
anticipation of its launch, no doubt due to the involvement of the team
that created Blacked.com. Tushy is a direct reflection of its creator,
award-winning director and producer Greg Lansky.
Tushy.com expects to deliver elegantly produced anal erotica, with
scenes updating weekly. The first update came on June 29, featuring
starlet Abby Cross in her anal debut.
“The time is right for Tushy,” said Lansky. “In a marketplace where a
majority of companies have been drastically scaling back on quality and
rebranding with more cost-cutting amateur style content, we wanted to
bring superior filmmaking back to the forefront of adult movies.”
“Each update will be in the vein of a small feature film,” he added.
“While maintaining the highest standards of quality. Tushy production will include luxurious
and unique locations, avant-garde fashion and extremely beautiful models. We are very
selective on our casting process to deliver the most beautiful natural talent the world has to
offer.”
After the success of Blacked.com, the Tushy team remains true to its roots and the style of
filmmaking that customers around the globe have come to expect.
“I believe the industry is headed for a renaissance when referencing quality and we intend
to lead it,” Lansky promised. Tushy will offer genuine, beautiful and passionate anal scenes to
the viewers and he hopes to become the benchmark in that niche.
Another attraction is that high-profile porn stars have already allowed T ushy to record their
first on-screen anal experience. In the first few weeks after its debut, fans have already seen
some of these debuts.
Particularly notable was the July 20 anal debut of Ash Hollywood, who vows that it was a
one-and-done deal with Tushy.com getting the exclusive.
Before that, the new anal-themed website also tempted young sextress Karla Kush into
making her tushy debut. The scene offered Kush relinquishing the on-camera innocence of her
anal canal to 2015 AVN Male Performer of the Year nominee Chris Strokes.
“Karla is one of the top-rated performers on our sister website Blacked.com,” Lansky
said. “She has a way to connect with the audience that is unique, and it also helps that she’s
incredible beautiful.”
And raven-haired starlet Sabrina Banks added her name to the list of talent performing anal
sex on camera for the very first time for Tushy.com.
The scene featured Tampa native Banks, an up-and-comer repped by East Coast Talents,
being initiated into the ways of anal by consummate pro Manuel Ferrara, under the direction
of Lansky.
