husband—will likely be just as attracted to DreamZone
Entertainment’s Sleeping With Danger, directed by Barrett
Blade, since star Abella Danger’s displays of fear and
passion here give Julia a good run for her money.
“There’s something thrilling and something that drives your curiosity
about danger, like a ‘curiosity killed the cat’ kind of thing,” Abella told
AVN, referring to her screen name but also to the script. “No matter
how much you might be scared of what the future may bring, you still
want to bite that apple.”
As the story opens, Abella and perfectly cast husband Steven St.
Croix are getting ready for “date night,” and after he compliments her
on how beautiful she looks in the dress he bought for her, the pair
make love—but when morning comes and Abella’s left the hand towels
disarrayed on the counter, the audience gets to see what Steven’s really
like, as he smacks her hard across the face for not neatly folding the
towels after she was done with them.
This is hardly the first time Abella’s been the victim of domestic
violence, and as viewers find out later, she’s been taking steps to get
out of the situation, such as volunteering at the local battered women’s
shelter and making plans with her sister (Karmen Karma) to fake her
suicide and move back to the old homestead. Once there, though, she
feels free to be as messy as she wants—and to take on a new, much
better behaved lover, played by Tommy Gunn.
Their sex scene takes place in the kitchen, with Tommy scaring her a
bit as he walks up quietly behind her—but fear is forgotten as he kisses
her deeply on the mouth and on her back, and starts to undress her.
