The Fucking Dead On the set of Smash Pictures’ Beyond Fucked: A Zombie Odyssey
O
ne thing we learned by being on the set of Tommy Pistol’s
latest directorial effort, Beyond Fucked: A Zombie Odyssey, is
that this is one multi-talented guy. Those who only know
him as an actor may be surprised to find out that he’s
already written, produced and directed a
mainstream horror film, The Gruesome Death
of Tommy Pistol, was an assistant director on
another one (Deader Country), and as a result
has beaucoup street cred within horror fan-
dom (which is how he got a bunch of extras
to appear in his latest effort). On top of that,
he used to be a stand-up comic with a
troupe in northern New Jersey.
But with Beyond Fucked, Pistol may
have faced his biggest challenge yet:
Create a zombie movie that’s both
sexually hot and yet has enough
“walking dead” action that it can
(and will be) released on the
mainstream horror film circuit. To
that end, he employed, among
others, top makeup artist Melissa
Makeup and an associate, plus special effects
artists for some “blood gags.” And, of course, there’s the
great cast, including Bonnie Rotten as the main zombie
hunter, Pistol himself and Nikki Hearts as her lovers,
returning star Annie Cruz as one of the zombies, and
Anthony Rosano as one of the hunters. Other cast members
include Phoenix Askani, Asphyxia Noir, the much-missed
Melissa Hill, Mark Wood, John Strong, David Lord ... and
lots of zombie extras, including photographer Rick Garcia.
Oh, yes: The plot! Well, it seems that some scientists, in
an effort to combat the U.S.’s problems with a popula-
tion that’s too fat for its own good, have invented a pill
that’s supposed to shed that fat quickly—but in fact,

the drug turns everyone who’s taken it into crazed
flesh-eating zombies who, by the time this movie
begins, have either eaten just about everyone
on earth, or turned them into zombies as well.
But not everyone. There are a few
uninfected individuals left, and still fewer
men who can generate one of the world’s
most precious commodities: pure semen.
Bonnie’s been hired by Dr. Life, a mad scientist
who pays her to collect as much of the pure stuff
as she can, no matter what she has to do or whom
she has to kill to get it. But when she’s not blowing
to shed fat quickl y,
away zombies right and left with her high-powered
but in fact it turns
everyone who
takes it into
crazed, flesh-
rifles, handguns and knives, she’s chatting up the
bartender at one of the few remaining saloons—and
trying to get over the fact that her lover has succumbed
to the virus that’
s plaguing the rest of humanity.
It should be noted that Beyond Fucked is the first in a
series of zombie-based offerings from Smash that’ll be
helmed by Pistol, and if anybody can pull it off, it’s got to
be that kid from Jersey.

observe any of the movie’s sex scenes, but viewers will be
treated to five couplings among the cast listed above, excel-
lent special effects ... and “Brains! We want brainsssssss!!!”
Beyond Fucked: A Zombie Odyssey will be released by Smash
Pictures on June 27.
