‘Women Seeking Women’ hits a milestone that few adult series reach
S
eries are the backbone of adult video sales.
Everybody does ’em, in part because if a
customer likes one volume, he or she is
likely to come back for more of (roughly)
the same. But there are nonetheless few
long-running series in adult. Ed Powers’
pro-am More Dirty Debutantes recently topped 370 vol-
umes, and the amateur series Homegrown Video is in the
800s—but for longevity combined with unquestionably
hot female talent, it’s hard to beat Women Seeking Women,
which will release its 100th volume on December 13.
“I did not think we would ever get to number 100,”
admitted Girlfriends Films owner Dan O’Connell.
“When we got to 10, I was thinking, ‘Should I stop this
thing and just go on to something else?’ That’s what sort
of a forward thinker I was!”
“Obviously, this is a special edition,” he continued.
“The first volume, Women Seeking Women 1, was one of
our first four movies, and for a while, the first few years,
of the previously unseen scenes were already in the can. For instance, there’s a threeway with Ariella Ferrara, India
Girlfriends Films was a part-time venture. But for about
the past eight years, we’ve been a full-time venture, and
for the past three or four years, we’ve been putting out a
Women Seeking Women every month, so number 100 is a
special edition. It
’
s a two-disc set; one disc is all new
scenes, and the other disc is all classic scenes that the fans
are voting on as their favorites.”
As O’Connell talked, he noted that the votes for the
fan-favorite scenes were still being tallied, and all but one
Summer and Zoe Holloway that was supposed to go in the premiere volume of Lamoyne Hotel, but will be presented
here instead. There

s a scene between Prinzzess and Veruca James that’s also from earlier this year, and one with relative
newcomer Ashley Scott who, in late September, got it on with Girlfriends regular Bree Daniels.
Which brings us to what will probably be Volume 100’s hottest scene: Girlfriends favorite Dana DeArmond—she
was co-hostess of the studio’s internet series The Kinky and Creepy Show—and a newcomer to the Girlfriends ranks,

“We wanted to load the scene with two of the best performers in the business, and they’re sort of hosting the 100th
