Eldorado Trading Co. adds new Elevate U lessons,
hosts training event
E ldorado Trading Company, a leading
distributor of adult toys, party supplies
and lingerie, has released the sixth and
seventh lessons in its Elevate U sexual
health e-learning series.
The topic for Lesson 6 is “Sex for Everybody!
Sexual and Gender Diversity.” This lesson covers
specific terminology about gender and sexual
orientation and offers insight into the challenge
of talking about gender, sexuality and toys in
affirming and comfortable ways.
Lesson 7 is “Sex for EveryBODY! Body Image
and Customers of Size.” The focus of this lesson
is to give retailers the skills to talk to customers
in a body-positive way in order to create a
comfortable store environment for shoppers.
With the release of these two additional
lessons, the first 100 learners to complete lessons
6 and 7 will receive a free Elevate U branded
T-shirt.
Eldorado’s Elevate U sexual health certification
series was launched at the beginning of the
year in partnership with the Center for Sexual
Pleasure & Health. A 16-lesson e-learning series
that covers a variety of sexual health topics,
Elevate U goes beyond product focus and is
designed to give adult retail owners and their
employees the knowledge they need to become a
sexual health resource in their communities.
Eldorado Director of Sales Bill Barna said, “I
am thrilled at the participation and feedback we
have received about Elevate U! This program is
truly at the core of Eldorado’s guiding principles
and I could not be more proud of the educational
opportunity we are providing our customers.
As competition in our industry continues to
intensify, Eldorado is committed to helping our
customers stand out in their communities and be
a true resource for consumers.”
Eldorado clients have expressed their
appreciation for the training. Byron Love of
Florida’s Guilty Pleasures boutique said, “Elevate
U is a great resource with a unique take on
training employees. It will definitely become a
staple in our training program and a requirement
for our staff. Teaching health and wellness are
important responsibilities for those who are
selling sex toys and sexual satisfaction.”
Amy Schoff summed up the thoughts of the
staff at Dick & Jane’s Naughty Spot in South
Dakota, saying, “In an industry that is constantly
changing with new products and information,
Elevate U has given our team of retail sex
educators new and up-to-date information
about sexual health and well-being and product
information. Being able to better inform our
customers about products and sexual health has

The most recent event featured about 20 vendors, who gave product demos, and also
