CS: What were you doing for work before you
became a cam model?
LN: Before camming I was in college and working
at a theater and fast-food place. When I graduated I
looked into applying for vanilla jobs but none of them
fit. Soon enough I realized I could make camming my
career. That was that.
How and when did you get into camming?
I had just broken up with my high school sweetheart
and was starting my senior year of college. Up until
then, I was pretty straight edge. I was eager to break
out and feel independent and in control of my life.
Go a little wild, have a little fun! I also needed the
money. I easily qualified for food stamps back then
and struggled to pay the rest of my tuition despite
scholarships and loans. I learned about camming from
Tumblr in 2013 and watched a girl/girl show live on
MyFreeCams. I was astonished. They were making
money doing that? I could do that! I should have done
more research, but in the end I dived in and never
looked back. Seven years later, I’m still happy with the
path I chose.
I read on your blog (LuxNeon.Life) that you moved
around a lot after college—what are some or all of
the cities that you’ve lived in?
I was eager to get out of Michigan. The harsh winters
were getting to me. At first, I moved 2000 miles away
to Las Vegas. I knew cam girls who lived there and
had visited once to go to a cam-girl gathering. I stayed
there for a little over a year before heading north to
Portland, Oregon. That didn’t seem to fit either. So
I headed a little further to Seattle, where I live now.
I look at cities like relationships. I always figured I’d
eventually find one that fits me right. I love Seattle, but I
would move again if I had the urge. Lately, it’s felt nice
to settle down.
