How did you come up with your
memorable cam name?
Nobody can ever say my name. Even
people who I have told in person what my
name is, they never get it right. My first
name Aphia (Aye-fee-uh) was taken from
the video game Skyrim. I saw the name and
liked it and later when I was thinking of cam
names I just decided to use it. My last name
DeMieux (Duh-Mew) is a last name I saw
somewhere on the internet a very long time
ago and I thought it was unique and cute. I
really love unique names and I always try to
stand out from the crowd so why not have a
name that is as unique as I am?
What are you studying in college?
I’m currently going to college to be a vet
someday. It’s gonna take a few years but I
have a lot of experience under my belt like
interning at some vet offices, shadowing
my local vet, volunteering at a humane
society, working at a humane society and
fostering a ton of mommy dogs and their
babies.
What are you passionate about?
I’m very, very passionate about animals.
I’ve said since the day I could write, “I want
to be a vet.” I have three dogs and two
cats of my own and I love them to death.
Every time I’ve fostered a litter of puppies
and some have passed away, it makes me
bawl like a little baby. I can’t help it; I’m
a sensitive person and I just have a deep
need to take care of animals and protect
them.
