CAMSTAR: Where are you originally from?
heidiv: I am from Melbourne, Australia. I love to travel but
always say I’m pretty lucky to have been born in my favorite
city. I’ve been a lot of places but Melbourne wins easily for me.
Camming makes it so easy to travel—I can work from anywhere
in the world as long as I’ve got my computer and I’m a part of
a huge international community that means I can always find
someone to go to lunch with or show me around any city.
What are the biggest differences between Melbourne
and a big city in the USA?
The number of people for sure and the expanse of the city
centers. In Melbourne the busiest part of the city is just a few
blocks but places like New York the city goes forever. One
of my favorite things about Melbourne is it is surrounded by
beautiful nature in all directions. It’s just a short drive from the
city to some really incredible nature spots—waterfalls, beaches,
river spots etc.
What were you doing for work before you became a
cam model?
My first job was at Lord of the Fries, which is a vegan fast-
food place in Melbourne. But just before camming I was
working part-time at Australia’s first H&M in the lingerie
department. I loved working there, as I’ve loved all of my
jobs really. I’m definitely a workaholic. I was also tutoring high
school kids in maths and English!
How and when did you get into camming? How did you
find MFC?
I found MFC through another cam girl on Tumblr and
watched her for a while before I realized it was something
I could do myself. I’d never heard of it or anything like it.
Camming wasn’t (and still isn’t) very big in Australia, so it was
very foreign to me and hard to find information on. I remember
signing up and thinking it would be something I would just
do for fun and never tell anyone about. Never thought three
years later it would be my full-time job and my life would be as
incredible as it is now.
What does the ‘v’ stand for in your cam name?
Sorry, that one’s a secret! My go-to answer is “tip 10,000” to
find out—which someone did once. It’s also important to know
that the v is lowercase! But really the v was about bringing a
little bit of my ‘real’ life into the cam world, but of course the
cam world is my real life now—so I find it kind of ironic. If you
spend enough time with me on MFC you’ll soon learn exactly
what the v means.
