What do you enjoy most about cosplay?
I enjoy the creativity of it, and the community. I’ve made
most of my friends through cosplay. Going to conventions
has really made me come out of my shell. I love having
something to work on whenever I’m feeling creative. Having
collected a lot of costume crafting tools over the years, I’ll
always be able to work on something new when I’m feeling
inspiration.
What are some of your most popular cosplay characters?
My most popular cosplay characters would have to be
Spiderman related. My Mary Jane gained a lot of popularity
from a YouTube video I shot in 2015; I believe that video
now has 250 million views. My Anti-Gwenom also gained
a lot of popularity on Reddit. I based that costume off
of artwork done by Jamie Tyndall. He actually found me
through that costume, and now we’re friends!
Where do you get your inspiration for a new character?
I get inspiration from whatever anime or video game I’m
watching/playing at the time. Whenever I see a cool outfit
I start thinking about the mechanics and if it’s possible to
make at my skill level. I usually try to push myself creatively a
couple times a year with a larger build.
How did you develop your camming routine?
Honestly, I’ve always been a night owl. I started camming
when I would get home from school around 6 p.m. EST, but
very soon I started logging on later around 10-11 p.m. EST.
I always try to log on around that time now and stay online
until 3 a.m. EST. It’s when I have the most friends online and
feel the most energetic.
