and what information you put out to your fans. With that being said,
I would love to see more protection for us models, or at the very
least repercussions for the harassers actions.
How did you spend your first camming paycheck?
I actually put it right into my savings account. I had originally
planned on camming as a secret and saving most of the money I
made, but that plan ended rather quickly. My ex found out I was
‘Jenny’ while snooping through my computer. Immediately after

this occurred the ‘friend’ of mine who originally told me about
MyFreeCams outed me to all of my old friends. At that point,
camming instantly became a job and not a side hustle I could hide,
and that happened within… I guess about two months of camming
on MFC.
How did you spend your last camming paycheck?
I tend to only spend what I need to for groceries, bills, childcare
expenses, insurance, etc. and put the rest into savings. Cam models
are required to pay taxes on the money we make so I make sure
a certain percentage of what I make is put in an account for tax
purposes and another for future purposes. I decided when I started
doing this that I was going to bust my ass, while I could, to ensure
my kids and I would be okay after I retire from the industry. That is
why I’m working so hard now… to be able to make this happen!

What’s a misconception about camming?
A very common misconception is that we make easy money sitting
behind a webcam a few hours a day. Many do not realize all of the
time us models spend off cam preparing for shows, filming/editing
new content, promoting, coming up with new and exciting games,
putting together pic sets for members to purchase when we are on
cam… the list goes on forever. On a night that I cam, I would say I
almost always put in at least a full 12 hours before shutting it down
for the day.
What advice would you give a new cam model trying to establish
herself like you have?
I would highly suggest for anyone considering being a cam girl
to do their research online to see what they are getting themselves
into. If being outed is something you are concerned about, then
I would suggest not getting into the business. Most of the girls I
have met through various cam sites have different ‘outing’ stories,
so I think doing the proper research and ultimately knowing what
you’re getting yourself into is definitely a great idea. If you decide
to move forward and become a cam girl, I would suggest finding
a time-frame that works for you and sticking to it. Being on cam
consistently allows your fans to know exactly when/where to find
