“I came to the discovery that I had a really nice butt...”
If Kane Fox met his 18-year-old self, he would have a word.
“I would be like, ‘What’s this dude’s issue!?’” laughs the performer. “Being in this industry has definitely challenged me and changed me, especially being someone who has dealt with body dysmorphia his whole life, really. It can be very challenging to be in an industry where you’re putting your naked body on screen for however many people in the world to see. But it’s also been really empowering, because you see that people like what you’re putting out...”
Fox became determined to break free of the routine that had him finding solace in video games—and quickly broke out of his shell.
“When I was in high school, I was literally like 105 pounds, just nothing—barely a paper- weight. And I remember I hated myself for so long. As a kid, I never really viewed myself as someone who was very attractive at all, who was very confident at all or was worth people’s attention. And then I really got into the gym after high school and was going crazy with it—and as my body started to change, I started posting pictures and people were very receptive to it,” he says. “I came to the discovery that I had a really nice butt, which is something that I hadn’t really paid attention to before.”
His burgeoning Twitter feed got him noticed, and soon he signed with Helix—enjoying a highly successful debut year in 2020 before heading to CockyBoys last year. At his new home, Fox has started to explore bottoming more—and to unleash an assertive side he didn’t know he had.
“It’s funny—I’ve had interactions at CockyBoys with people I previously had scenes with at Helix, namely Dallas Preston. When I had my scene with him at CockyBoys, he said something along the lines of, ‘Who is this?! Is this the real Kane? You’re being vocal and assertive and aggressive and a daddy!’ He was shocked. I think I’ve opened my mind up more. Instead of just bringing my presupposed ideas to the scene of how I’m going to perform, I’m finding a way to meet in the middle: Bring what I’m naturally good at, but also mix it up so I’m not always doing the same thing.”
