This offbeat thriller starts with Octavia
Red buying a used camera and finding
a data card with a porn audition scene
recorded on it. Red watches the scene,
and it takes a nasty turn when the girl is
apparently killed by another man with
a distinctive arm tattoo.
The police have no interest in Red's
report, and her own investigations take
her to a sleazy porn studio—where
she's treated like talent by Reagan
Foxxx—and a sex club where she
finds the tattooed man who was in the
snuff video (Victor Ray) performing on
stage with a woman (Kylie Rocket),
which concludes when the talent
from the pre-snuff sex scene (Seth
Gamble) takes the stage and asks,
"Did everybody enjoy the show?"
The plot complicates when Red
gets confronted with her own sexual
past, her own sexual desires, and the
possibility that she may have been
complicit in all of what has transpired.
A clever script and on-point direction
stay one step ahead of the viewer,
adding intrigue and suspense to the
mix. Recommended.
