Vixen Media Group (VMG) in July announced the directorial
debut of AVN Award-winning star Violet Myers.
The new scene, starring Raissa Bellini alongside Hollywood
Cash and Isiah Maxwell, premieres July 20 on Blacked Raw
and Vixen Plus, VMG’s all-in-one premium streaming platform.
Additional scenes under Myers’ direction are set to roll out
through the summer.
Asked how it feels to make her directorial debut with Blacked
Raw, Myers didn’t hesitate: ”To have my directorial debut is
such a huge accomplishment in my career and to do it with
Vixen makes it even better. This is a dream come true from
starring to now directing. It can’t get better than this.”
Few performers have left a mark on VMG quite like Myers.
Since her 2021 debut with the company, the multi-award-
winning star has appeared in 18 scenes across Blacked,
Blacked Raw, Deeper, Slayed, Tushy, and Vixen, including
her viral first gangbang ”Low Rider” on Blacked, her first anal
scene on Tushy, and ”High Gear,” the AVN Award-winning
orgy on Blacked Raw. She also stars in the Deeper feature
Drift and appears in the newly released Equilibrium, both from
director Kayden Kross.
The decision to step behind the camera was sparked by
fellow performer-turned-director Gianna Dior. ”I honestly didn’t
even know that a performer can direct such great scenes like
that and I have to give credit to Gianna for that,” said Myers.
”I’ve always directed my own scenes so I wanted to definitely
do something different with a higher production.”
The view from the other side of the lens has already changed
how she sees the work. ”Being behind the camera has taught
me so much more that goes into it than I really thought. I always
gave credit to production and crew, but I have a whole other
respect for what they do. It’s not like what everyone makes it
seem like. It’s a huge responsibility, bringing a fantasy to life. I
almost feel like it’s making me a better performer.”
Behind the monitor, Myers drew on everything her years
in front of the camera taught her, guiding Bellini, Cash, and
Maxwell through a night of raw, spontaneous chemistry. ”My
years as a performer taught me how to move for the camera
so now that I’m behind it, I know what the audience is looking
for,” she said. ”I can also help guide the performer give a
better performance for the camera and teach them so that
way they can be the best performer to their abilities. I love
making the models feel sexy and teaching them how to pose
for the camera, etc.”
