“I think I have a big angel taking
care of me.”
Eve Sweet attended the first AVN Awards Show of her career in January—and it turned
into an experience that she’ll never forget.
Not only did she grace the industry’s biggest stage to present three awards during the 42nd
annual ceremony, she also won 2025 AVN International Female Performer of the Year—the
top individual honor for a performer based outside the U.S.—on January 25 at Virgin Hotels
Las Vegas.
Sweet, who was born in Romania, lived for over decade in Spain and now resides in Paris,
said receiving her first AVN trophy was special.
“Winning International Performer of the Year is really a big dream coming true for me,” Eve
told AVN. “I have never thought I would get to win it in my first AVN experience.
“I wont lie, it was a lot of emotions for me this AVN. Lots of fans came to meet me and it
was really nice to meet each and every one of them and going home with that award was
just fulfilling my heart.”
She continued, “I went to pick it up with the biggest smile ever... And being recognized
internationally, wow! I think I have a big angel taking care of me.
“I hope my work will inspire other performers and maybe one day we can shoot real sex
on camera with real emotions. I would say this award is not even for me, but for all those
orgasms I manage to have on set! All the fun and nice moments.”
Sweet pointed to two milestone scenes that were her most memorable of 2024: her first
anal with reigning International Male Performer of the Year Christian Clay for the 2025 Best
International Production, Hotel Vixen Season 2; and her first DP for Long Con, another
crossover feature for Vixen Media Group. Both scenes were directed by Julia Grandi, who
captured Best Directing Portfolio - International.
“It was a crazy year and I have been shooting many other stuff that are not yet released
so… prepare yourself because it’s a nice surprise,” Eve said. “I wont lie… I took [the trophy]
with me to my trip to L.A. and the Dominican Republic and I took it out of my bag on each
hotel to look at it every morning and make sure I know who I am—like this, there is no way
I go down.”
