“Porn performers are like athletes.”
Don’t call it a comeback. Lana Violet has been around for years. The sexy Filipino starlet first captured porno hearts when she joined the industry in 2008 as a means to a pole. An aspiring stripper since her rebellious teens, Violet didn’t see herself as a porn star but figured adult movies could make her a marquee name on the feature dance circuit.
“I knew nothing about porn,” Violet said. “Porn was Jenna Jameson, big tits, and blonde—and that’s not what I am. I have wanted to be a stripper since I was, like, 13. The first thing I did when I was 18 was go to a strip club.”
While seeking employment opportunities for dancers, Violet met an agent on SexyJobs who revealed career altering secrets about the adult industry.
“She explained the business,” Violet said. “That there’s different types of niches, different types of performers and talents, and that being Asian is a big thing. She told me it’s a lot more money than stripping...and I could feature dance as a porn star which would pay more.”
Violet took the words to heart and hit the ground running, making an impressive debut with interracial superstar Jack Napier in Vouyer Media’s “Jack’s Too Bu Ku.” Exhibiting an extraordinary love for all things anal (Lana is anal spelled backward), oral, and interracial, the petite, 5-foot spinner quickly became a favorite among fans and studios, delivering a variety of stroke-worthy performances and, as her agent had foretold, becoming an Asian sensation.
“When I first started, I was an Asian everything,” Violet said. “I was so naïve; I didn’t even consider it being offensive. I didn’t have expectations. I was, like, fuck it. Let’s just go for it. It was one of those moments where I just wanted to be anywhere other than where I was. And, for me, I had a lot of great experiences and first times. There were some hiccups along the way but, overall, I have fond memories of my first time in this business.”
Unfortunately, an unexpected physical injury sidelined Violet’s porn career only two years in, but she didn’t quit.
“I was working nonstop, and I was grateful for the work, but it took a toll on my body,” Violet said. “Porn performers are like athletes. So, it caught up to me and I was pretty much forced to stop and rest. I never officially left or retired. I always had some sort of iteration of the adult business in the background, whether it was camming or stripping as a house girl. I just didn’t do porn scenes.”
Recently signed with OC Modeling, Violet is ready to face the cameras again and looks forward to performing double-penetrations, which she has never done before, and gangbangs—something she’s only done once in Digital Sin’s “Bang, Bang, Bang!”
“I’ve only done one gangbang and it was my favorite scene ever,” Violet said. “I like gang bangs because all the attention is on me. When I say gangbangs, people automatically assume I like to do orgies. I don’t dislike orgies. Orgies are great, orgies are fun, but gangbangs? It’s all for me. And I get to handle it. It’s a little selfish.”
Violet has dubbed this new stage of her career as her Milf Era—not only because of the porn genre she’s eyeballing, but the experience she’s picked up since starting this journey years ago.
