“I discovered I was really good at it, and I
enjoyed it.”
Veteran performer/producer/director Jewell Marceau started her career in 1996. “I was already
in the adult industry as a stripper in my hometown, Virginia Beach, and I met a cute blonde at
the club and we became best friends. A friend of hers suggested that she go to Van Nuys and
model for Jim South. She came back with loads of money. Tons of money. She didn’t really tell me
what she was doing, but I asked ‘Can I do it, too?’ Eventually she gave me Jim South’s contact
information, and I came out to Van Nuys in 1996. I said ‘I’m staying for one month, and then I’m
going back home to Virginia Beach.’
“And I never left.”
She added BDSM and fetish to her performance repertoire when “I discovered I was really good
at it, and I enjoyed it. A lot of other women didn’t want to do it—or couldn’t do it, it is physically
taxing. I became so good at it I got lots of work and became really popular, so I opened my own
BDSM fetish website, and worked for myself for the last 20-something years.”
Although Marceau is still involved in her fetish and BDSM website work, she is also increasing
her participation back into mainstream production because “I don’t have enough sex in my life,
and I figured getting paid for it sounds great! [chuckle] I would love to work with John Stagliano
again [She appeared in Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge in 2006]. I enjoyed working for Ricky
Greenwood [Lonely Lunchtime for Girlsway, 2023], that was a really fun experience. I’d like to work
for Naughty America or Brazzers. I’ve only done extra work for them, I’d like to do full scenes.”
Her recent credits also include several scenes for MYLF and a trans scene with Zariah Aura for
director Aiden Starr at Evil Angel.
She has witnessed the evolution of the industry since she started: “It’s weird, it’s interesting,
it’s changed in a lot of ways. Even the language has changed. The signing of the paperwork
has changed. The testing has changed. The level of unaccountability has increased: there are a
lot of cancellations. I find it hard to get people to do what they say they will do. It happens with
performers, with producers, and with agents. That’s been disappointing.”
When asked what she’s looking forward to in the industry, she replies with a coy smile, “It’s a
secret. I’m waiting for it to happen.” In the meantime, “I’m available, I’m reliable, I like sex, I like
orgasms, I like to suck cock, I like to lick pussy—I like to have fun and be easy to work with.”
