Brina Scarlett sports a wide smile, cutting quite the figure in her high heels and stylish
black dress on a balmy October evening. Speaking with a reporter was not in her plans days
ago, but the striking model is in her element, showing the confidence and charm that many
industry members have come to know.
Having shed much of the weight that made her a popular performer on various niche sites
over the past year, the 5-foot-9 starlet with the 36DDD chest is today a shadow of herself
when she entered the adult industry in 2022.
“I started in the BBW sector and I lost 85 pounds and now I’m in the middle of a rebrand,”
Brina said. “I just got a personal trainer and he’s great, but I use AVN as my goal point so
that by AVN, I can be 15 pounds thinner. Every year I try to better my look for the red carpet.”
But re-inventing herself isn’t new for the statuesque redhead. Having grown up in a small
Oregon town, she worked a number of jobs before landing in a factory where she slaughtered
chickens. It wasn’t exciting, but the pay was alright. Her parents, however, felt she should
attend college and prepare for a career. She agreed and soon went from a factory worker
to college coed looking for a career in finance.
Even as she attended a university taking business courses, she became a plus-size model
who worked with a handful of brands in the segment.
“I did a lot of fit modeling which is wanted in my size because I was a size zero in plus
size, if that makes sense, so I was the smallest in plus size so they had me try on the plus-
size clothes and then they would make adjustments according to my body,” she recalled.
“It was a really good side hustle, because I would walk in and be there for 15 minutes and
leave with $300,” she said.
But after graduating college, she began working in finance and discovered she was not
interested in that career. Then when her social media was hacked by a man who used her
name to contact certain adult performers, her life took a sudden turn.
“He used a fake email that has my full name so when the girls searched it, my Instagram
came up and assumed it was like my spam and they said, ‘Hey, someone stole your photos
and is pretending to be you and he didn’t speak English very good’ and you could tell it
wasn’t really me. And they’re like, someone is using your photos and trying to set up collabs
and I’m like, ‘What’s a collab?’” she said.
“What was really funny was that one of the girls that messaged me ended up staying in the
same hotel as me that weekend because she was going to a [Portland Trail Blazers] game,
and we ended up meeting up.”
Thanks to her newfound friend who piqued her interest in adult modeling, she was able
to contact the owner of Plumper Pass, a studio dedicated to BBW content. The would-be
starlet soon became enthused at the prospect of sharing her sexuality for profit.
“My first scene was a boy/girl from Plumper Pass with Juan Largo and it was supposed to
be a pool scene, but in Fort Lauderdale, it decided to rain that day so we went inside,” she
recalled. “I was really nervous and I walked in and there were all these guys talking sports
and I’m like, ‘What?’ But I wouldn’t call it scary, I was just nervous because I’m a recovering
perfectionist. I don’t like to do things unless I’m extremely expert at it.”
