“I think I’m lucky because it’s not that
easy to work consistently here.”
Vince Karter thought it would take longer—if it ever happened at all.
But just two years after arriving in America to continue his porn career, the French
star reached the pinnacle of adult entertainment, winning the 2025 AVN Male
Performer of the Year award on January 25 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
“I’m motivated since I’m here to really achieve all these different things,” Karter
says. “I was thinking it would take me so long.
“This year was a surprise for me for AVN because so many big guys are here and
they’ve been here since so long and I thought it was too early for me to get it. But
it was really a super push for me, so it’s nice for people to recognize my job. It’s
satisfying and it validates me—I feel like I’m legit.”
Legit is an understatement.
The world-class deal closer performed in 270-something sex scenes during the
2025 AVN Awards eligibility period—not to mention directed scores of others—and
rolled into Sin City with an industry-leading 19 individual nominations at the 42nd
annual AVN Awards Show. He left town with the top individual honor for a male
performer and additional trophies for Best Tag-Team Sex Scene and Best Gangbang
Scene.
Karter’s career-best year came on the heels of winning AVN International Male
Performer of the Year in January 2024, along with Best Gangbang and Best
International Anal Sex Scene; he also claimed the top international anal performing
award in 2023.
Despite collecting seven AVN statuettes in the past three years, the former real
estate project manager from Paris tells AVN the job is nowhere near done.
“I think I’m lucky because it’s not that easy to work consistently here,” Karter says
humbly. “I’m going to continue to perform and focus a lot on my OnlyFans collabs,
too… A big part of the business is to be in all the different important parts of the
business.”
Indeed, directing also has become a key part of the Vince Karter brand, which is
defined by high-quality, energetic, no-holes-barred hardcore.
“Half of my time is directing and this part of my job is growing up now, too,” Vince
says. “It’s an important part of my career to be a director, too.”
Karter broke into the industry 13-and-a-half years ago but didn’t go full time until
he got to Budapest in 2018. Now one of the busiest men in Porn Valley calls the
shots in multiple scenes every month for sites such as PornWorld, Team Skeet and
HerLimit.
