500 Issues
This September marks the 500th issue of Adult Video News—better known as AVN magazine—which was pub- lished for the first time in February 1983 by company founder Paul Fishbein. It has been our honor to cover the worldwide adult entertainment community in the pages of AVN every month for the past 41 years. What started out as a newsletter focused on reviewing the newest adult vid- eo releases grew into the trade publication of record for the global adult industry. This magazine also laid the foun- dation for the world famous AVN Awards Show, AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, Adult Novelty Expo, GayVN Awards and ‘O’ Awards. As we reflect on four decades of AVN, we are filled with gratitude and excited for the future. Thank you to our readers for helping us achieve this milestone— and to the entire adult entertainment community for your support. See you in January!
