Making it in life often demands going beyond your comfort zone, and, in Wisconsin, waitress Melissa Stratton and wannabe actor Robby Apples really need to spread their wings. Apples arrives home, wearing a dinosaur costume, as Stratton counts her meager daily restaurant tips. Apples, understandably unhappy incorrectly thinking that an “􏰀o􏰁 􏰂roadway summer stock production of Jurassic Park would be a stepping stone to” his acting career, was mortified.
The good news is that they are moving to Hollywood to be extras (hence the title).
􏰃tratton’s first gig is that of an e􏰄tra in an indie (read: porn) movie. She aces her one line and leaves, and on-screen director Seth Gamble then humorously takes over limp dick Rusty Nails’ role as Chanel Camryn’s stud.
The producer, Tommy Pistol, is given free reign to be as whacky and perverted as he wants to be, and Kay Lovely pairs with him for a “Pistolized” sex scene. Apples and Stratton later finally connect on screen before the surprise ending.
