In 1850 California, in the near- ghost town of Santa Clarita, guns are prohibited in the saloon, which has run out of liquor—but traveling bounty hunter Ricky Johnson can still exchange his “gold” nuggets for other pleasures with Abigail Mac and Gal Ritchie.
Just outside of town, homesteaders 􏰀ic􏰁i 􏰂hase and 􏰃hawn 􏰄lff are bushwhacked by Johnson’s quarry 􏰃cott 􏰅ails. It’s the payoff of a long con on 􏰄lff with 􏰂hase as decoy. Then Chase decides to hook back up with 􏰅ails to fleece prospectors in Santa Clarita But Nails betrays Chase, stealing her gold.
Enter saloonkeeper Kimmy Granger, who visits old partner Adria Rae to enlist her to bounty-hunt Nails. Rae at first declines but later is persuaded by her old partner Alex Jones to do it. His gold buys him a twofer in the saloon with Granger and Ritchie. A climactic confrontation follows at Rae’s mine.
High production values and integrated laid-back music highlight this production with each player given their chance to shine.
