“This is like a love affair I’ve had with ideas in my head that have turned into this great partnership with Adult Time...”
Some 10 miles west of Simi, the two-story location house sits on a hill, overlooking a long driveway leading off a gated private road. The massive glass entrance doors and curling staircase bespeak luxury, as does the expansive backyard with two fire pits, a barbecue kitchen, and a putting green with five holes, its artificial turf littered with golf balls. In the living room, a seamless paper backdrop in Lexi Luna’s signature pink color hangs on a scaffold. This is where Adult Time is shooting With Love, Lexi: Exploring His Foot Fetish, the first in a planned series centering on brand ambassador Lexi Luna. A detailed two-page scenario has call times for cast and crew and describes the action to be shot with a two-paragraph “script” including photographs illustrating the desired look to be achieved.
“We’re going to make a pilot, and our collective goal is for it to be popular enough that we can shoot more,” Adult Time’s Bree Mills tells me. “I like making it open- ended. Sometimes it can be a one-and-done thing, but we intend to work with Lexi as a promotional partner, to get it out to her audience and make it a connecting point to bring her audience into our audience. It puts more oomph behind the project.”
“This is like a love affair I’ve had with ideas in my head that have turned into this great partnership with Adult Time,” Luna says. “When I started performing, I was doing a lot of foot content for different studios in Florida. It was an easy way for me to connect with a lot of fans. Foot fetish is the number-one fetish in the world, and being able to connect with those fans and give back is a pure fandom thing, and it makes me very happy.”
The production process starts with a consent interview, where Luna and scene partner Nathan Bronson sit down with Mills and discuss what will happen in the scene, followed by a head-to-toe checklist of what is OK and what isn’t. If your job is having sex on camera, you have very specific preferences. When Luna describes a particular action she wants to avoid, Bronson reacts, “Who does that?”
After Mills conducts an on-camera interview with Luna to frame the scene, and some preliminary shots of her getting out of a shower and dressing in lingerie, with stockings, stilettos, anklet, and a shortie purple robe, the cameras move outside to shoot Bronson approaching the house in the late-afternoon sunlight and Luna welcoming him. Cinematographer Michael Vegas places the camera so Bronson’s shadow on the entryway fills the frame before panning up to catch Bronson at the door.
Techs place lights to simulate daylight in the high-ceilinged living room, with reflectors and white walls bouncing the illumination to avoid the look of artificial light. “And now begins the awesome silence,” Mills says, as she puts a fresh battery into a camera.
