LAUNCH GOTHGIRLFRIENDS.COM WITH SPIZOO
It turns out that newly launched GothGirlfriends.com in many ways was five years in the making.
Veteran director/performer Logan Xander made his adult industry debut for Bang Bros in 2019 as an editor and producer when he was 19. That was when he met Kill Chris, the co-creator of GothGirlfriends, which the duo unveiled on June 1st in partnership with Spizoo.com.
“We became somewhat of a powerhouse directing duo for Bang Bros and immediately clicked on our love for alternative and punk culture,” Xander says. “Since 2019 we always wanted to create something inspired by the alternative scene we both grew up with—something edgy and gritty and dark. We always had this idea in the back of our minds but wanted to grow in the industry a bit more and learn before taking that next step.”
Fast forward to November 2022.
“Chris and I were talking about our ideas and he came up with the name ‘Goth Girlfriends,’” Xander continues. “Everything clicked. It’s a pretty common phrase in internet & meme culture, ‘Where can I find a goth girlfriend?’ I thought it was perfect.
“I was surprised that the domain was actually available. I bought it that same night and then him and I started coming up with ideas for the site.”
Xander describes the content on GothGirlfriends as a “grungy/darker version of glam gonzo.”
“We showcase the girls in an artistic montage and really focus on conveying passion and pleasure,” Xander explains. “Our slogan is ‘Dark Passion, Hardcore Pleasure.’ With Chris and I both being video editors, I believe we’ve really been able to show off some creativity in the editing and art style for our content that’s a lot different from any other site.”
Logan says that he and Chris connected with Spizoo through MrLuckyPOV, who also works with the prolific network.
“He called me around June of 2023 and told me that Spizoo was interested in expanding their network and building a site around creators,” Xander says. “We already had the idea of Goth Girlfriends but were planning to do it independently. Once I heard this opportunity I decided to pitch the idea to them.
“We set up a meeting and they loved it and the rest is history. They’ve been extremely helpful and knowledgeable.”
Logan and Chris began working on Goth Girlfriends in July 2023, fine-tuning their look with special attention to detail with the set design along the way.
