Mina Luxx doesn’t shy away from projects that require more than just showing up and performing a sex scene. In fact, she welcomes them.
“I really like working with Missa X,” Luxx says. “I just did a scene with them a couple days ago and it was like an 18-page script. It was probably one of the longest ones that I’ve had, but it was really fun.
“I like to be challenged a little bit.”
The rising new starlet from Charlotte, N.C., also did a feature for director Axel Braun that has yet to be released.
“That was a lot of fun. That was an all-day shoot. I really like the long, challenging ones,” she adds. “I feel like it exercises my brain a little bit more. I like for there to be a good storyline, so I can play into the role.
“I also want to take acting classes this summer so I can become a better actor.”
She may only have just celebrated her one-year anniversary in adult on May 2, but Mina already has ambitions for what she would like to achieve both inside and outside the industry.
Represented exclusively for bookings by Motley Models, Luxx has more than 50 credits in the past year, including appearances on Brazzers, Vixen, Blacked, New Sensations, Team Skeet, CherryPimps and Jules Jordan, among others.
“I’m really happy with how far I’ve come. I think this is only just the beginning,” Luxx tells AVN. “This was only supposed to be like a stepping stone for me to do other things like mainstream modeling and acting. I’m just really happy with where I’m at right now.
“I have a lot of fun when I’m on set with people and I feel just really free. So I don’t want to stop.”
A former server at a sushi restaurant and masseuse in Charlotte, the 21-year-old Laotian beauty remembers seeing porn before she got into the industry and fantasizing about doing it herself.
“And I remember just looking at those women and being like wow, I want to do that. That looks like a lot of fun,” Mina says.
But she says just the thought of it seemed out of reach due to her “sheltered” life on the East Coast.
“I would have never thought that I would even live in LA,” she says. “Like I was stuck in North Carolina in a really small town. I never thought I would get myself out of there. But eventually I did.” Burned out from her jobs and wanting something more, Luxx started researching agencies,
discovering Dave Rock’s Motley Models.
“None of them really stood out to me like Motley did,” Luxx says, adding she received a call
from agent Ryan Kona on the same day she applied online.
So she decided to take a leap of faith, moving across the country with her two Bengal cats—
Atlas and Nova—to start a new life in Porn Valley.
Now as she looks ahead, Luxx says she would love to shoot in Europe.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to work for Dorcel and be flown out abroad and to film and
to just make art with my work,” she says. “I feel like once I’ve been able to do that I will feel like I made it.
“Because when I started in the industry I knew that I would have to do a lot of porny, taboo scenes. That’s just part of it—which I don’t mind—but I want my work to be art.
“I want my work to be really sensual and really seductive.”
