Jennie Rose calls her July Twistys Treat of the Month title “incredible.”
“I feel like I’m so new and I was really surprised,” Rose, who started her career last fall, tells AVN. “I felt like I was doing something right that I was recognized and that felt really good.”
In fact the rising Korean American star is making all the right moves in her first trip around Porn Valley, which included a girl/girl scene with the 2019 AVN Best New Starlet Ivy Wolfe for Twistys a couple weeks prior to finding out that she was selected.
“Ivy Wolfe was amazing,” Rose says. “And that was the first time I met the director Lea Lexis, who was a performer in the past and really takes care of people now.
“I felt really taken care of when she filmed me and when she told me that I would be the Twistys Treat and I asked her, ‘Why did you pick me when there are so many other big performers who have been doing this for a long time?’
“And she said, ‘Because you’ve got it.’ She saw that I can model. She said, ‘It’s all you.’ And I thanked her seven thousand times.”
In her photo-set that was also styled by Lea and shot by JT, Jennie channeled Lara Croft in Tomb Raider vibes with her sheer black body suit, heels and a gun strapped to her right thigh.
“Lea killed it and she made me kill it, too,” Jennie says. “I felt like a boss woman. That was the vibe—that I was powerful...”
Rose lauded the entire Twistys crew, noting that JT “was amazing.”
“He made me feel at home and he also made me feel like such a beautiful woman,” Jennie says. “He shot the things that he needed to shoot for our work and then also he kept shooting me when I was just doing dumb shit.
“JT has this way of making models feel very confident. He uplifts them.”
Jennie also complimented Lexi Morin for her makeup that day.
Rose says that part of her Twistys Treat honor entailed getting to choose her partner for another
scene—so she requested April Olsen.
“I’ve always wanted to shoot with her,” says Jennie, who turned her focus to girl/girl in late April. Born in South Korea, Rose lived in the Philippines as a toddler and then moved back to Seoul
and Kongju.
She relocated to Chicago when she was around 10, where she graduated from high school
and then earned degrees from DePaul University in Business Entrepreneurship and Fine Arts. Jennie—whose father and grandpa are pastors—came to LA in 2017 with her sights set on a career in art. She specializes in abstract expressionism and mixed media and worked as the
resident artist at a couple art galleries.
Now Rose also owns her own creative studio space in downtown LA that she rents out for
special events while she renovates another space in Santa Clarita that is scheduled to be done by the end of the year.
“I hope I can finish it before I hit 200,000 followers on Instagram,” Rose says. “Then I will have a good fanbase I can work with.”
Jennie had 78K and counting at press time on Instagram at @jennierosesins.
The enchanting performer describes herself as “spontaneous, creative and emphatic.”
