Chu Meng Shu experienced America for the first time in January, traveling with the Model Media team to the 2023 AVN Show in Las Vegas.
The 22-year-old, emerging star from Taoyuan, Taiwan, told AVN she was “happy and excited” during her first AVN.
“The most unforgettable part is the streetscape in Vegas, but unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to stay in Las Vegas, so I didn’t have time to enjoy it and take photos,” Chu Meng Shu said.
She joined several of her fellow Model Media contract girls at the company’s booth on the AVN Show floor January 4-7, signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans before walking the red carpet at the 40th annual AVN Awards Show on January 7.
“I want to come back again,” Chu Meng Chu said at the Expo through her interpreter, Yuana Yang. “I will go back to Taiwan but I hope I can come back to U.S. because I love U.S. I never shoot with American guy but I will have a video with American guy next week.”
Indeed, Chu Meng Shu performed in more than 30 videos since her porn debut a year ago, but only with Asian male co-stars. That all changed when she took on seasoned American studs Nathan Bronson and Codey Steele the week after AVN.
“They are very lively and outgoing and it was very interesting to have a different cultural experience,” Shu said. “I also hope the adult industry in Taiwan will get better and better.”
Launched in Taiwan in 2019 and quickly rising to prominence in China, Taiwan and Japan, Model Media made significant in-roads in the U.S. market in 2022, establishing its American presence with several decisive moves.
Model Media launched the new site POV Adventure to go along with its sister banners Jerkaoke and Delphine Films, picking up its first AVN Awards nominations along the way.
Shu said that what she likes the most about adult entertainment so far is “that I can play different roles, which makes me feel very interesting and fresh every time I shoot.”
Before starting her porn career, Chu Meng worked as a waitress.
“I like this job because I can interact with people and chat,” she said. “I can also walk around. I think it’s great because I can’t always keep quiet.”
