Lea Lexis tells me she couldn’t help but feel the enormity of Brazzers’ 20th anniversary photoshoot while it was happening at her Burbank studio.
The veteran director from Constanta, Romania, worked closely with seasoned photographer JT on capturing all the Brazzers contract stars in their red-carpet style as the company prepares to toast the milestone in 2024.
“The majority of our contract stars are industry veterans,” Lea says. “They have grown their careers side by side and witnessed each other’s success.
“There is a camaraderie that you cannot expect from anybody else. Strong bonds. Many of them have more than a decade-long connection and it shows.”
Lexis, who started her career 17 years ago and performed for more than a decade before moving behind the camera, says it was an honor for her crew to commemorate the occasion with a special image.
“It’s very flattering,” Lea continues. “I was actually discussing it with some of the talent on set that it feels like a moment in history to celebrate 20 years of Brazzers and have the beautiful opportunity to have an AVN cover shoot.”
“I feel very grateful that we got to put this together. It was very sweet that a few of them were even thanking me for the experience. That was flattering in itself. It was a big deal and getting to work on it was a great feeling.”
Lea tells me she wants to help other performers who share the same passion for production but otherwise may not consider it a viable career path.
“It’s part of my vision and my journey to empower them,” she says.
