“I think I feel totally different. I don’t think I would label myself as a porn star because I wouldn’t limit myself like that, but it’s definitely part of who I am. I’m truly a performer at heart.”
Summer, who was born in Boca Raton, Fla., and went to a Catholic school, says she felt sexually repressed prior to adult. She has channeled that pent-up energy into some electric performances.
“I feel much more confident in what I do now—like I know I can kill it,” Charly says. “Whereas before I think I wanted to but I didn’t know if I could. Now I know I can.”
It’s that killer instinct that has impressed Jordan, whose star showcases are among the most notorious in the industry.
When he zeroes in on a girl, there is a reason.
In addition to her first anal with Dredd, the showcase also includes an anal scene with Rob Piper and her first DP with Piper and Jax Slayher that included an impromptu double-vaginal penetration.
“It was not really a reality for a long time and then finishing the final scene, I was actually super emotional because we’ve just been working on it for so long and I think it hadn’t become a reality yet,” Summer says. “And this is something that I really wanted.”
She continues, “When I hit up Jules last February and me and Jules kind of came up with this idea it was more like, I couldn’t conceptualize that it would be like a real thing and then after finishing the final scene, I was like, wow, I really did it, the whole thing.
“It was an incredible experience. I love working with Jules. He feels like family to me. Honestly everyone on his set feels like family. ... It’s like my favorite company to work for. I really respect Jules. I love that he does things old school. I just think he has a really cool style.
“And I just feel honored to be a part of it. I couldn’t believe that Jules wanted to do it.
“And I was just so happy. I feel like we’ve become a lot closer since we’ve been working on it together. And there’s no one else I would rather do it with.”
Summer and Jordan even have enlisted the art of @Penerotic, who has created erotic comics for each of the scenes. Jordan incorporated the comics into the DVD box cover in a first for the AVN Hall of Fame director.
“He was sort of a fan and he makes these really impressive cool comics,” Charly says. “After I did Dredd I was like I gotta get a comic for this. It’s too cool. Then we did one for every one. I just love the way they looked.”
