“The signs came that I asked for. And it’s been nothing but up from there.”
Xxlayna reveals she has become much more in tune with the universe in the past year-and-a-half, embracing her spiritual side and trusting her instincts to guide her.
“It’s kind of hard to describe it,” Marie says. “I don’t really know how to pinpoint it and express it to other people besides explaining how I’ve gotten here today and what I do daily to trust and believe that things are falling into existence for me.”
She tells AVN even with her first steps into the industry, when she was still unsure if she was making the right decision, she asked for a sign.
“Because I was nervous. I was hesitant. This is totally new to me,” Xxlayna says. “But the signs came that I asked for. And it’s been nothing but up from there.”
She says that November 5 will mark two years of sobriety from alcohol, another personal milestone that gives her a sense that everything is happening exactly the way it should be.
“And before I got into the industry I was just writing down what I wanted to release and even if I felt like it was so out of my reach—like what do I want in life? That type of thing,” Xxlayna adds.
Marie in September 2020 started her OnlyFans, building a decent following just from word of mouth in her hometown.
“I started growing my Instagram and I got onto Twitter in December of 2020 and a couple weeks later Hussie found my stuff on Twitter and reached out to me and was like, ‘Hey, we would love to offer you a position on our roster,’” Xxlayna recalls.
“Hussie found me in like the middle of January. And then I signed my first contract with them on February 14. And then I ended up resigning and then like a week and a half later I re-signed again. And then I shot my first scene April 5th.”
Xxlayna says she has been pleasantly surprised with how many people she has connected with who have an appreciation for her spiritual awareness.
“Before I got into the industry I was opening up to spirituality and I was like, I really just hope that I’ll cross paths with somebody that will understand me,” she says. “And ever since I’ve gotten into the industry almost every single person I cross paths with understands in some form of way.
“And I think that’s so crazy and beautiful. But it also makes me believe that we are all somewhat following our true life path.”
