Romi Rain wants to share what she’s learned during her rise to the upper echelon of adult entertainment.
Whether she’s on the set, doing a podcast or speaking on a panel, the enterprising native of Boston tells me her natural instinct is to help others with their industry journey.
A brand ambassador for Cam4 during the first year of the pandemic, Rain also co-hosted the platform’s “A Mouthful” podcast along with Laura Desiree.
“It was my version of the performer handbook,” Rain says. “It was just really honest conversations with other performers. I was using that as my little avenue to try to educate. It’s always really important to spread some knowledge when it comes to the industry. The more we try to help each other, the better we all are and the better we feel, the better we thrive—the more we can stick it to the man.”
Rain says someday she may incorporate some of those same themes into her autobiography.
“There is so much to talk about, so many tips and tricks,” Romi adds. “Before I got into the business I would read every blog, every interesting book by someone I respected. Back then there wasn’t a ton of books and autobiographies. There wasn’t a lot of education. So I kind of want to be a part of that.”
Our June cover girl cemented her place in industry history on January 26, 2019, when she and MFC model Bailey Rayne teamed with comedian Esther Ku and Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B as the first-ever all-female lineup of hosts and entertainment for the 36th annual AVN Awards at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Three-and-a-half years later, Romi still considers her entire show experience extra special.
“Hosting the 2019 AVN Awards was such a dream come true and one of the biggest accolades of my career,” she says. “It was such a rare opportunity so few people get.”
