“I do love L.A. because it has a lot to offer in regards to the scenery—from the cities to the beaches,” she says. “There is always something to do and you don’t really get bored. l love how busy I am here compared to Australia, but Australia is home.
“I love everything about Australia, all the different places. But I’m excited to spend this period of my life here and have the option of doing what I do.”
Bond recalls how she was always loyal to all her jobs before adult. She studied beauty therapy in Melbourne, getting a job at a skincare and makeup counter at a mall. Then she managed the cosmetics section at a pharmacy. But it was when she was at the pharmacy six years ago that she realized she wanted to change her career path. She had just finished recovering from getting her boobs done and it was her first day back at work.
“I just felt like a different person. I was so over it and bored. I thought, imagine if I just left on my lunch break and never came back. And I was like, no, I can’t do that. It was getting close to 1 o’clock and I thought, well, actually I could. And I just walked out on my break,” Bond says.
“It was kind of like a movie, like one of those crazy things that you’d never really think you would do, but I did and I’m so glad I did.”
