Broke, unhappy and still seeking her place in life, Casey Kisses fled her crime-riddled Miami neighborhood in 2016 and moved to Las Vegas to join the adult industry.
Her goal, she said, was to simply “blend in.”
Six years later, with a six-figure income and nearly one million followers on social media, Kisses has blossomed into one of the top names in all of trans porn.
Only a handful of performers—in any genre—carry as much clout as Kisses, who has shot for nearly every major studio while working alongside elite talents such as Jane Wilde, Aubrey Kate, Lacy Lennon and April Olsen.
Kisses was named Trans Performer of the Year at the AVN Awards in January and was also voted Favorite Trans Cam Star. Her most gratifying honor to date, however, came when Casey: A True Story—a biopic about her life—won the Grand Reel award for best full-length feature.
Directed by Joanna Angel the film chronicles many of the themes that make Kisses journey toward acceptance not only impressive, but inspiring.
The parents who shunned her ... and the grandmother who embraced her.
The motorcycle club that deserted her ... and the car wreck that nearly killed her.
The career that saved her ... and the partner who completed her.
In the end, it’s a tale of perseverance that Angel says rivals any script she’s tackled—fiction or
non-fiction—in her Hall-of-Fame career.
“Casey’s story,” she says, “is unlike anything I’ve ever heard.”
Kisses, 32, said she hopes her tale will have an impact on others—especially those battling inner
struggles about their sexuality. Other than a note she wrote to her sister at age 8—“I feel like a girl inside; I must be gay”—Kisses bottled up her emotions for more than a decade and didn’t begin her transition until her mid-20s.
“Every morning,” Kisses says, “I’d open my eyes and think, ‘I wish I was in a different life. I wish I was a different person. Maybe in my next life, I’ll get to live the way I want to live.’”
Two decades later—in what indeed feels like a new existence—Casey Kisses is doing exactly that.
