If it seems hard to draw parallels between Kayden Kross and any of her predecessors it’s because her path has been one of a kind.
From gracing a billboard for the Hustler Casino in 2006 to signing exclusive deals with Vivid, Adam & Eve and Digital Playground—the only performer ever to be contracted to all three iconic studios—to winning three consecutive AVN Director of the Year awards a decade later, nothing about Kross’s adult industry journey has been ordinary.
Now the creative force behind Vixen Media Group’s terrific Deeper imprint—she writes, produces and directs—Kross reflects on her remarkable progression in an exclusive interview with our Senior Editor Peter Warren in this special issue of AVN.
The Northern California native co-hosted the 27th annual AVN Awards Show with Kirsten Price on January 9, 2010, when she was beginning her fourth full year in adult. On January 22nd at the all-digital 39th annual ceremony, she accepted the award for Best Director - Narrative Production for Psychosexual.
In addition to Kayden, our February magazine also features a diverse group of talent led by emerging star Romy Indy, a native of Amsterdam who in January won the 2022 AVN Award for Best New International Starlet—on her 23rd birthday. We also talked to first-time AVN nominee Isabella De Laa, who is making a name for herself from Prague, Czech Republic; and fellow rising star and 2022 nominee, Ariana Van X, a Venezuelan showstopper based in Madrid, Spain.
