OUT NEW FEATURE ‘WASTELAND ULTRA’
Digital Playground has announced the new feature Wasteland Ultra, billed as an ”action-packed, sex-fueled thrill-ride set in Digital Playground’s Doom Valley, a brutal desert wasteland where lust and anarchy reign.”
Directed by Lea Lexis, Wasteland Ultra features a large ensemble cast led by Brooklyn Gray, April Olsen, Angel Youngs, Nicole Doshi, LaSirena, Roxie Sinner, Kira Noir, Brittney Kade, and a bevy of other talent. Male co-stars include Van Wylde, Air Thugger, Scott Nails, Ricky Johnson, Isiah Maxwell, Charles Dera and Will Pounder.
“Wasteland Ultra was such an exciting project to work on,” says Lexis. “Like any extraordinary project would demand, this movie took an incredible amount of hard work. I am very grateful to my crew and the Digital Playground team for allowing us to run with this script, have fun with set design and wardrobe, and all around trusting our passion for movie-making.”
The film follows a band of mercenaries led by Turbo (Brooklyn Gray) as they transport two dangerous synthetic robots (LaSirena, Roxie Sinner) across the wasteland, chased by the warlord Ruin and her bounty hunters (April Olsen). Along the way, they cross territories controlled by a motley collection of characters, with car chases, stunts and no-holds-barred sex.
“My character, Turbo, is a badass—wouldn’t want to mess with her,” says Gray. “I do a really cool roundhouse kick, but I swear nobody was harmed in the making of this production!” Her co-star, Van Wylde, related to his role playing Turbo’s sidekick. “I’m really loyal to my friends, and I’m gonna get shit done,” he says.
Nicole Doshi, who plays Peace Officer Vennix, teases an extra-special scene. “My favorite scene in the movie was like one of my fantasies finally coming true,” she says. Her co-star Isiah Maxwell enjoyed being behind the scenes just as much as shooting. “My favorite part of this movie was hanging out with everyone on set,” says Maxwell, who plays the good partner to Doshi’s crooked cop. “It was my first time meeting a lot of people, and everything was so stimulating. My mind was in a good happy place.”
“It takes a certain type of madness to be able to pull so many long shoot days, and still want to do one more take, one more picture,” Lexis says. “Wasteland Ultra is just that good!”
