DELILAH DAY
Barely a year into the adult business, Delilah Day has already picked up an AVN Award nomination ... for Mainstream Venture of the Year. The nod—shared with her Motley Models agency sister Jessica Ryan—recognizes the joint appearance by the two on episode seven of the third season of comedic Showtime series Black Monday.
“We’re Prostitute Number 1 and 2,” Delilah laughs. “I had crazy ’80s makeup and hair that was impossible to get out. But it was two full days of really awesome shooting. We had our own trailers.”
Pretty far-out stuff for a small-town 23-year-old from Arkansas who says she landed in Pornoland “on a complete chance.”
She explains: “I met a girl who had actually just signed with Motley during the shutdown. And we were just doing a casual lingerie shoot for my friend’s new lingerie business. And she said, ‘You’re hot. I think my agent would like you.’”
Despite having never so much as thought about porn (“From the South, that’s not even an option, that’s not in my career list,” she professes), Delilah was convinced after speaking with Motley agent Ryan Kona that it was something she wanted to pursue.
“I enjoyed talking to him about the opportunities to make more out of my life and essentially get paid to be myself, brand myself, own myself, show every part of myself,” she recalls. “It just felt like it was a life where I could be in control of where I went, and I wanted that.”
Thus far, it would seem that’s exactly what she’s gotten—as she summarizes it, “T his is the best year I’ve had yet.”
