One of the biggest success stories of the past 10 years in adult without question is Mia Malkova.
From pulling shifts at a well-known fast food chain in a Southern California suburb as a teen—a job she says she loved—to winning the top award for a new female performer in adult entertainment, to becoming a bonafide industry superstar and then a year ago purchasing her dream home, what Malkova has achieved is nothing short of inspiring.
And while Mia’s lifestyle and surroundings have changed considerably in the past decade, her personality hasn’t and it’s probably why her fanbase remains one of the best in the business.
Still as down to earth and soft-spoken as when she burst on the scene—and quietly accepted the Best New Starlet award in front of thousands at the AVN Awards Show in Las Vegas—it’s easy to see why Malkova has literally millions of fans interested in what she’s doing next.
Her story along with 20 pages of terrific photography courtesy of Roy Reyna and producer Eli Tucker brings this eventful year to a fitting climax.
Elsewhere in our final issue of 2021, AVN feature writer Austin King snagged an interview with the crowd-pleasing Alex Coal, whose sense of humor is on display after every sex scene. King also caught up with one of the fastest rising stars in adult in Ariel Demure, who has four nominations for the 2022 AVN Awards on January 22nd—the most for any first year trans performer.
Speaking of someone operating at the highest level of the game, the intellectual fetishist Goddess Ishtar dished about her command of all things femdom on AVN Stars.
She tells me, “I used to be involved in the import/export of cosmetics before the onset of Covid-19. Now I am a real estate investor—a landlord by day and a Dominatrix by night.”
The Russian ass-kicker says she’s also into watching soccer.
