Bree Mills’ challenging psycho-
drama sets out its premise with its
title: Perspective. Workaholic David
(Seth Gamble) has to deal with his
hypersexual wife Jennifer (Angela
White) “going out for coffee” with
muscular stud Trevor (Codey
Steele)—and not getting back for
ten hours of not answering his texts.
While cooking breakfast the next
morning, Jennifer ignores a text
message ping; Gamble gets her
out of the room and writes down the
address in the text. That night, he
goes there and his worst nightmares
are realized: a sex club with Jennifer
as the centerpiece of a full-on orgy.
Fade to black.
Back in her kitchen, Jennifer
tiptoes to the front door. Something
has changed: The self-assured
Jennifer we saw before is now a
whimpering mouseburger, and it’s
David who is in charge.
Director Mills presents her own
screenplay well, with edit­ ing and
art direction focused on keeping
the versions of the story consistent.
Gamble and White shine in their
dual roles as aggressor and victim.
