T H E K A T I E M O N R O E Katie Monroe left her native Cleveland for
California because “I was sick of snow. The
weather out here is amazing—it’s beautiful all the
time.” At age 35 it was definitely a change of pace,
but it’s paying off.
Monroe is a cancer survivor and “that was like
an awakening for me. I had breast augmentation,
obviously [she’s a 32DDD], and that made me feel
more like a woman, more like I could I do anything.
And I decided, You only live once. Why not try it
and see what happens?”
Previously she worked in finance, in Nashville.
“It’s a great place to go if you’re a singer, but I
wasn’t really getting what I wanted from Nashville.”
The financial industry “was really good to me. But
I just didn’t want to do the nine to five anymore.”
In porn she’s done “a lot of threesomes with girls
and guys and boy-girl scenes,” two of which she
singles out as favorites: Quinton James and Tyler
Nixon for Brazzers and Naughty America.
For relaxation, “I hang out with my dog—he’s
pretty much my everything—watch Netflix, go to
the beach. And I paint. It’s very therapeutic. It’s
like you let out all your emotions on this canvas,
and when you’re done you have this masterpiece.”
