After roughly five years away from the triple-X limelight, Jessie Lee
had the above epiphany, she says, when Joanna Angel—the woman
who brought Lee into the industry way back in 2007—cast her in a
small non-sex role in her AVN Award-nominated horror porn parody of
last year, I Know Who You Fucked Last Halloween.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, I need to be back in porn,’” Lee recalls. And so she
persuaded Angel to shoot her in a comeback sex scene (contained in
the March BurningAngel Entertainment release Evil Oil), signed up with
leading talent agency OC Modeling, and charged full-steam back into
the smutmaking life … only with a new look and a reframed perspective.
“I feel like I’m doing it right this time,” she explains. “I’m taking it more
seriously, and I’m actually doing it right. I have a great fucking agency,
I’m promoting myself really well, I’m working with people that I really
want to work with. I think before I was really unsure about what I wanted
to do, if I wanted to take my career seriously, but now it’s like I know
exactly what I want, I know exactly the steps I want to take.
“I feel like my attitude and my total mannerisms have changed since
dyeing my hair,” she adds. “Before I was like blonde and cutesy and
stuff like that, and now I’m like, dark hair and very … I call myself a
‘gothic slut,’ and I’ve very devious. I’m more devious with darker hair.”
One of the things Lee has jumped on earnestly since her return is
the booming indie clip marketplace, piling up a bevy of self-produced
content. “I tell Joanna about all the people I’ve been filming content
with for my OnlyFans,” she says, “and she’s like, ‘Jessie, you’ve literally
had sex with all of porn in three weeks.’ So yeah, it’s exciting. I never
realized how much of a cum slut I was until I got back into porn.” (So
much of one, as a matter of fact, that not long after this interview took
place, she literally got the words “Cum Slut” tattooed across the back
of her thighs.)
It would certainly seem that Lee has with this turn at bat found herself
exactly where she wants to be. “I think throughout my 20s I was still
trying to find myself,” she reflects.
